When I met Dolores Watson at the Flowering Lotus Meditation & Retreat Center, I was in awe of her. She truly embodies the energy and spirit of a queen mother. I couldn’t believe she accomplished so much in her life in the name of wellness and that I had never heard of her! A true pioneer who started a raw foods juice bar and meditation center in the 1970s in Harlem, traveled and lived in Haiti, where she studied Haitian Folkloric Dance with Lavinia Williams, adopted and 10-year-old Haitian orphan, and continued on her journey of wellness in the states.
